AVS Fencing Provide Expert Advice On ITV's 'The 60 Minute Makeover'

Gardening and makeover shows on television are enjoyed by millions of viewers. These shows only ever invite the true specialists to provide advice and to undertake the renovation work and so it was only natural that TV gardener David Domoney recently asked AVS Fencing, suppliers of decking, driveway gates and wooden fencing to provide expert fencing advice on this show The 60 Minute Makeover.

The popular ITV show requires a team of home improvement specialists to complete a full house and garden makeover on a property within just one hour. Whether the improvements include painting, plumbing, new kitchen or a brand new landscaped garden the team have just sixty minutes to complete the work.

Mark Whiting, marketing director of AVS Fencing who offer everything for the green-fingered including picket fencing and decking boards, said, “We were asked by David to come down to Basildon to join his gardening team. The property in question had an ugly, old chain link fence and our job was to replace it with some new Lap Panels in a tasteful brown colour. We had just one hour to erect the new eight panels whilst David and the rest of his team undertook the turfing and other garden landscaping.”

AVS Fencing, suppliers of garden fence panels and railway sleepers were initially asked to provide advice on what they believed would be the most appropriate solution for this particular garden. However, David and the team were so impressed with their specialist knowledge that the AVS team were asked to participate in the show and to carry out the fencing work for David and his gardening crew.

Mr Whiting added, “I was worried about how quickly the time would go but in the end we managed to erect the new fence panels in record time and they made a great backdrop for the newly planted garden.”

Presented by talented interior designer Scott Waldron, the show is scheduled to be broadcast on ITV1 this autumn.
